[ It's a good thing to wonder about, honestly. Can Daniel say it? He knows he has to, just so no more dumb misunderstandings are created within the dojo, but it's not like it's really easy to talk about either. Especially when Daniel doesn't want to openly hurt in front of one of his kids.

So he sucks in a breath, trying to shove down as much as of the feeling as he can, pre-emptively, before he speaks. ]

Like I said, I.. [ Exhale. ] I think Makima did something to him. He was really worried about Shigeo, but then suddenly was really mean to him instead. It's the sort of sudden change to an extreme opposite that just can't have any logical reason behind it, especially when it happened after he spoke with her. Sunny says he thinks she has the power to influence people's minds.

[ All of that is painful enough, but at least it's objective. Just Daniel relaying the facts as he knows it, and he tries to focus on that to keep his own hurt out of it.

The next part is harder, but he keeps breathing calmly, doing his best to not let too much of said hurt spill out. ]

[ He lets out a tiny noise, probably intended as 'what can you do about it?', though it probably sounds a touch sadder than that. ]
