... Not lucky, I guess. There's no such thing as luck. But people got to me just in time.

There's no such thing as luck or coincidence in any world. If they had wanted you dead, they surely would have done so.

I was almost gone. But I'm recovering now. I think I momstly have everything I need, but if you come across an interesting book on sea life or oceans in general I'd appreciate it if you could bring it to me. I can pay you back.

I'll keep my eyes open for a book about the ocean. We're all squid here, so there's bound to be plenty of them.

I mean I was interested in it before, but if I can figure out anything about the sea life here it might be a clue somehow. I don't know, but it's worth a shot.
